polls, obama is doing really well in pennsylvania. maybe he's got some private polls that he's doing inside his campaign that shows some other trends developing in pennsylvania. i haven't seen any public polls that would indicate he's got a shot in pennsylvania. i also haven't seen any indication that the romney campaign is spending any campaign money advertising in pennsylvania. if they are, it is really not much. but as i say, maybe there is something that his campaign knows that we don't yet know becae righnow it looks like obama is doing really, really well innsylnia. and the surrounding new jersey, new york, or maryland for that matter. i roey doeshave a sho viouslin some of the other states like ohio, not that far away, but pennlvania looks like a long shot. he w doing som fd-raising there earlier today, had a rally in pennsylvania, but see if this is serious, this notion that he p has a shot pennsylvani it would be a amatic shift. >> wow,e h,wolf, a lot of s real turning ich begi wednesday in denver. no we also have received this memo fm a romney senior adviser that me

have shown that barack obama is losing a little bit in foreign policy and they seem to sense maybe there's an opportunity there. here he is criticizing the president for his handling of the libyan consulate attack. >> i think there have been a number of members in the administration, including state department who said this was a terrorist attack. the white house and the president are continuing not to admit what their own administration is saying, and i think it's pretty clear that they haven't wanted to level with the american people. >> the campaign obviously things they can get some traction on that. do you think they can? >> i thank can because on this case the facts are kind of on his side. i mean the obama administration's reaction to the libyan attack, specifically blaming it on the video for ore a week really wasn't a fine moment for him. he should level with the american people. if you don't know anything, don't say anything. he can get traks. he made some missteps and so he was unable to take vax of that as much as he could. but he definitely can do so in the future. >>

to implore voters to cast their ballots. barack obama will be preparing for debates in nevada, where cbs expects 65% of vote voters to vote early. his presence in the state of nevada stirs up activities for democrats who then will try to arck up their voters early. if a campaign can get lots of voters to vote early, then the campaign can spend its time and resources in other battleground states with other voters. >> pelley: these early votes aren't counted until election day. i wonder how do the campaigns know how people are voting early? >> the secretary of state in most of the early voting states hports daily the names of those who voted-- not how they voted, just that they did. what the campaigns then do is match that against the lists of voters they've identified over the years. so if mrs. jones has asked for an early ballot but isn't on that daily report, the campaign will contact her. this is why ground game matters. they often know what mrs. jones ndres about, and that's what they'll talk about when they call her to push her to vote. operatives from both parties joke that with vot
